Exploration Guide
The Exploration Guide is the travel magazine for Drumheller and area, showcasing all the fantastic places to explore in the region, including where to stay, eat, and play.
In 2026, the format will be slightly different as there will be no traditional advertising blocks and the guide will be completely digital – linked directly from the Travel Drumheller homepage and through stickers & postcards with a linked QR code.
Advertising opportunities still exist but businesses will be integrated into stories and editorial content that readers will engage with rather than an ad block that typically go unnoticed. These stories will also help Drumheller and your business rank higher in search results with AI.

Celebration of Excellence – Tourism Awards

The Event
To recognize hard work and commitment to the regional tourism industry in 2025, Travel Drumheller will be recognizing 3 categories at the Celebration of Excellence – Hospitality Ambassador, Tourism Business of the Year, and Event of the Year.
The Hospitality Ambassador Award is for an individual that goes above and beyond to help customers and guests.
The Tourism Business of the Year for a business or organization which has shown excellence in offering experiences to visitors in the Drumheller region.
New this year, the Event of the Year goes to a group for organizing and executing an event that brings in visitors from outside the region and contributes to the vibrancy of the community.
Nominations for awards will be open in March 2026
This year’s Celebration of Excellence will be on June 11, 2026 at the Badlands Community Facility. Tickets will go on sale in May.

Tourism Development Fund
Travel Drumheller provides funding for events, and product development in the Drumheller region. The intention of this program is to provide seed funding for partners to start or expand events and products, or to enhance the customer experience so that customers want to share their experience with others and return to the region.
2026 Funding – We are still waiting on confirmation of funding support to move forward with this program in 2026. For more information, contact development@traveldrumheller.com.
